Pokémon Champions – Update Data (Ver. 1.0.3) Now Available!

Posted on June 21, 2026

Pokémon is scheduled to update its game data on April 23 with "Pokémon Champions", which is expected to include Version 1.0.3. This update primarily addresses bugs and typos found within the game. Among the updates, one can expect corrections to the gender denotations of certain Pokémon in the tutorial, particularly referring to a female Elekid that was highlighted in social media discussions.

In addition to this, the explanation text for Elekid's "Tame State" will be corrected to accurately say that the Pokémon takes a damaging hit worth one-eighth of its maximum HP. The game also implements fixes for several gameplay bugs, including Pokémon that cannot activate the "Spirit Break" trait against certain types of attacks, incorrect errors where they can eat their own ki or inconsistencies where changes to base speed from items are not reflected timely due to the order of traits activation.

Here is what the update includes, as listed on the Pokémon Champion platform:

  • networking and visual issues during battles have been cleaned up

  • unnerve now works properly, so mons w certain abilities can’t eat berries through it anymore

  • speed changes from held items now correctly affect ability activation order

  • you can now select a move after hovering over mega evolution in move details and pressing b

  • some mons had incorrect genders listed in the tutorial, that’s been fixed

  • leech seed’s explanation has been updated/clarified

  • plus some smaller bug fixes and general improvements
