Pokémon Pokopia: How to Unlock the Wireless Power Transmitter Recipe

Posted on August 6, 2026

The Wireless Power Transmitter lets you send electricity across your town without connecting every habitat with visible Utility Pole cables. The Wireless Power Transmitter has the same range and function as a Utility Pole, but it removes the wires from your streets and building areas. To unlock this recipe in Pokémon Pokopia, find Porygon in Sparkling Skylands and complete its music-related request.

Quick answer: Build the Researcher’s Desk habitat in Sparkling Skylands so Porygon can appear. Place a CD Player near Porygon’s home, insert a CD, and play the song. After the music finishes, Porygon gives you both the Wireless Power Transmitter recipe and the Wireless Power-Transmitter Switch recipe.

Prepare Your Items

Porygon appears during the late game because its habitat materials are found in Sparkling Skylands, which is the final area. Collect the required items before you travel there so you can build the habitat and complete Porygon’s request without making another trip.

Requirement Details
Area Sparkling Skylands, in the northern part of the eastern island
Habitat Researcher’s Desk: 2 Tables of any type, 1 Computer, and 1 Science Experiment
Request items 1 CD Player and 1 CD
Crafting cost 1 Pokémetal for the Transmitter and 1 Pokémetal for the Switch

Sparkling Skylands is accessible from the eastern island. You can use the Waterfall north of Tinkmaster’s large tower, or take a Lift down from the huge skyscraper. This area contains many abandoned office buildings, so Computers are usually easy to locate. A CD Player can also be found nearby, which could save you from searching for one elsewhere.

Build Porygon’s Habitat

  1. Sparkling Skylands provides every item needed for the habitat. Travel to the northern section of the eastern island and collect two Tables of any kind, one Computer, and one Science Experiment. The office buildings in this area make the Computer especially easy to find.

  2. Researcher’s Desk becomes a habitat when you place all four required items together. After building it, leave the area and explore the surrounding zone for a short time. Porygon will eventually spawn close to the completed habitat.

  3. Porygon must be registered in your Pokédex before its request becomes available. Talk to Porygon when it appears, and after a short while, Porygon will approach you with a request.

Play Porygon a CD

Porygon needs music before it gives you the recipe. This is a simple request: obtain a CD Player and a CD, place the player beside Porygon’s home, and start the song.

  1. CD Player locations include the northeastern island where you may have built the habitat. Check the nearby buildings first because one is already available in that area. You can also purchase a CD Player from the Pokémon Center after your Environment Level in Palette Town reaches the required level.

  2. CD items may already be in your inventory if you have been breaking the glowing spots found throughout the world. If you need one, bring a Pokémon with the Search Specialty and use your Dowsing Machine to locate and dig up a CD.

  3. CD Player must be placed close to Porygon’s home. Insert the CD and allow the entire song to play. When the music ends, Porygon rewards you with the Wireless Power Transmitter recipe and the Wireless Power-Transmitter Switch recipe.

Wireless Power Transmitter and Wireless Power-Transmitter Switch will appear in your recipe list when the request is complete. If the recipes do not unlock, check that the CD was inserted correctly and that the CD Player is close enough to Porygon’s habitat.

Craft The Transmitter

Wireless Power Transmitter recipes have a low crafting cost. Crafting one Transmitter requires 1 Pokémetal, while crafting one Wireless Power-Transmitter Switch also requires 1 Pokémetal. Both items are made at a Workbench. Keep Pokémetal fragments processing in a smelting furnace, and you should have a steady supply of this late-game material.

Use Wireless Power

Wireless Power Transmitter works as a direct replacement for a Utility Pole. It reaches the same distance and distributes electricity in the same way, but its smaller design does not leave cables across your streets or habitats. You can also bury the Transmitter underground, which is much easier than hiding a Utility Pole.

Wireless Power Transmitter still needs a nearby source of electricity. A Mini Generator, Windmill, Furnace, or Waterwheel can provide power when placed close to the Transmitter. The Wireless Power-Transmitter Switch works with the Transmitter as well. Place the Switch near a Transmitter to control a connected appliance from a distance.

Pokémon Pokopia becomes easier to organize once you have these recipes and enough Pokémetal. Replace visible Utility Pole cables with Wireless Power Transmitters, keep the power network active, and maintain a cleaner layout throughout your town.
